Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton, or RNAS Yeovilton, (HMS Heron) is an airfield just north of Yeovil in Somerset. The painting was commissioned in 2002, the year of the Queen's Silver Jubilee, and shows some of the diverse aircraft types which have passed through the historic air base. It is also home to the Fleet Air Arm Museum and hosts an annual Air Day.
