Nimrod MR2 over Rockalll

Nimrod MR2/XV240 in its prime, on ASW duty over Rockall, the northernmost point of UK territory. Commissioned to celebrate the withdrawal from service of the type at the end of March 2010. The inset vignette with British troops alludes to its recent tour of duty over Afghanistan. Commemorative prints available for sale from RAF Kinloss, and the original painting ( 24 x 36 ins, oil ) will be up for auction. All proceeds to go to Help For Heroes.
