Typhoon Imminent awarded

GAvA 2006

I won a special award for my painting 'Typhoon Imminent' at the Guild of Aviation Artists (GAvA) Exhibition 2006. Peter Hall presented me with the Messier-Dowty Trophy for the Best Work in Acrylics at the prestigious Mall Galleries in London during the opening of the GAvA exhibition.

This prize complements the Oil Trophy (Wilkinson Sword) I previously won years ago. I was also twice awarded the SBAC(Society of British Aerospace Companies)Trophy for my work, the first back in 1972, soon after I first joined the Guild..

'Typhoon Imminent' is available as a giclee print. It shows the newly operational Eurofighter Typhoons of No.3(F) Squadron RAF.
