Flame-out Over Mildenhall
A Lockheed SR-71 "Black Bird" spectacularly flames out during an air display pass at the RAF Mildenhall Air Fete in 1986. After several alarming detonations from the automatic engine restart the plane continued on its course and finished its display without harm.
