The last of the mighty F-111 Aardvarks are currently operated by the Royal Australian Air Force, in the form of the upgraded F-111C, shown here carrying AGM-45 Popeye standoff missiles. The first variable-geometry("swing-wing") strike bomber in service, it was a very significant and formidable but curiously little known design.
